I do not have insurance:

Our low cost pharmaceuticals, labs and imaging help keep your money in your pocket and keep you out of the urgent care or emergency department.

We always advise patients to have some coverage for major health emergencies. Some patients will pair our membershop with traditional insurance or a health share.

I have insurance:

Combine the peace of mind of having insurance with same and next day appointments, low cost pharmaceuticals, labs and imaging, and the convenience of skipping the pharmacy and urgent care.

Our office does not bill insurance.

FAQs

Got a question? We’re here to help.

  • What are your business hours?

We are available for appointments Monday through Friday from 9-4 PM. If you need to speak with the doctor after hours you will have direct access by phone, text or email.

  • Why choose Direct Primary Care if I already have insurance?

    • You will be able to talk to your doctor. Your office visits will be long enough to cover all your concerns, and there will be no additional cost for follow ups if you want to ask more questions.
    • In the traditional system the patient is expected to pay for their office visits, which often means wondering if you or your child is "sick enough" to warrant paying to see the doctor. We don't charge extra to call, text or visit the doctor, it is included in your membership.
    • We offer discounted cash pricing on medications, lab work, imaging and pathology.
    • You will never receive a surprise bill in the mail.
  • Can you refer to different specialists?

Yes, can do referrals. If you have insurance you can still use it at the specialist office if needed.

  • Do you accept my insurance?

We do not take insurance because we don't want it to come between the doctor and the patient.

Unfortunately, because of government regulations, at this time we can't see patients covered by Medicare, Medicaid, TRICARE, IHS and other government provided insurance. If you are on one of these plans but would like to work with us, please give us your information so we can contact you in the future when we are able to work with you.

  • Do I still need insurance?

Although we don't work with insurance, we recommend that patients carry a policy in order to defray the cost of catastrophic or specialist care.

  • Can the doctor see me if I'm not a member?

Yes, if there is time available on the doctors schedule you may be able to schedule an appointment on a cash basis.

  • What type of payment methods do you accept?

We are set up for ACH or credit card. We prefer ACH since it costs less money to process.

  • What if I need to go to the hospital?

Our goal is to keep our patients healthy enough that they don't need hospitalizations, but since that doesn't always happen, we ask that you contact us after your hospital stay so we can coordinate your follow up.

  • How do I renew my subscription?

Your membership with automatically bill each month unless you decide to cancel. 30 day notice is required for cancellation.

  • Is the drug prescription process different in Direct Primary Care?

We are able to prescribe to your pharmacy like any other provider, and we also have a small formulary of common medications that we can dispense right in the office, saving you money and the trip to the pharmacy.

  • Do you prescribe narcotics?

We do not offer chronic pain management, nor do we keep controlled substances on the premises.

  • What if I want to cancel my subscription?

If you'd like to cancel, simply give us 30 days notice. If you'd like to rejoin the clinic within 12 months there will be a reenrollment fee.

  • Do you speak Spanish?

Yes! Dr. Bahsas is fluent in Spanish and English and prepared to answer all your questions in either language.

  • Can I just get perimenopause and and menopause care?

Yes, we give perimenopause and and menopause care outside the membership program.
